Michigan golf courses typically start opening in April each season. Unless the spring weather is unseasonably harsh, expect all courses to be open by Memorial Day.
When do golf courses close for the season in Michigan?
Michigan golf courses usually begin closing in October. Exactly when a course closes will depend on the local weather. Expect all Michigan golf courses to be closed by November 1. When in doubt, call ahead to confirm tee time availability. You can check Treetops’ course status by calling (866) 348-5249.
How far is it from Gaylord to Traverse City?
The 63.5 mile drive between the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City and Treetops Resort in Gaylord takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. It’s a scenic ride that takes you alongside beautiful East Bay, past sprawling hops farms, cherry orchards, and forests. Five major rental car companies operate at TVC: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National Car Rental.
