Elk Viewing
Uncover the Magic of Elk Viewing
As you enjoy your stay at Treetops Resort, take a moment to explore one of Northern Michigan’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders—Elk Viewing Park in Gaylord. Just a short drive away, this park offers a unique opportunity to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, especially during the vibrant colors of fall. To get there, simply head back toward downtown Gaylord and travel south on Otsego Ave. for a few miles. The trip is easy and unforgettable, adding a perfect touch of adventure to your autumn escape. Don’t miss this chance to experience the beauty of Michigan’s wildlife up close!
The best time to see the elk is at dusk or dawn when they are most active. Or you can try to catch them during their weekly feeding time, typically at 1 pm on Fridays.
While we don't offer Elk Viewing here at Treetops, so we recommend visiting our Gaylord Area Visitor's Bureau for more information.
