Farm 2 Fork Dinner Adventures
Each autumn, the Treetops culinary team creates three seasonal menus featuring local ingredients. The team carefully pairs each course with local wines and beers. We call this the Farm 2 Fork series, and it’s an exciting celebration of the finest foods made in Michigan. Since each of the three locavore dinners is limited to 32 participants, these special events tend to sell out fast.
Here’s what we have in store for the 2019 Farm 2 Fork culinary series:
September 14 – Michigan Cherry
Featuring wines from Leelanau Cellars
Appetizer: Balsamic cherry and honeyed goat cheese bruschetta
Salad: Michigan mixed greens with dried cherries, pine nuts, and cherry vinaigrette
Entrée: Black cherry wood smoked back ribs with Michigan cherry barbecue. Served with whipped sweet potato with cherry compound butter and broccolini
Dessert: White chocolate cherry mousse
October 12 – Michigan Apple
Appetizer: Michigan apple strudel bites in phyllo with mascarpone
Salad: Organic spinach salad, Maytag bleu cheese, Granny Smith apple nest with apple champagne vinaigrette
Entrée: Apple Dijon pork tenderloin with fresh apple relish, roasted new potatoes, and grilled asparagus
Dessert: Honeycrisp apple dumpling with caramel cider sauce
November 9 – Fall Harvest
Appetizer: Butternut squash bisque in a bread boule
Salad: Michigan mixed greens with gorgonzola and balsamic vinaigrette
Entrée: Petit filet with blackberry demi-glace, twice-baked potato, and roasted root vegetables
Dessert: Apple walnut tart
Farm 2 Fork dinners are unique 3- to 3.5-hour experiences that engage all five senses. Tickets cost $99 per person, which includes tax and gratuity.
