James Vanderveer, Director of Rooms There are three main reasons why I love the world renowned Par 3 course. Most important reason it's my favorite course is because I share that likeness with my dad. Every time we play this together we reenact the Par 3 challenge. During our round we always have to tap our club on the Lee Trevino Hole In One plaque that is located on hole seven which was put there after his famous ONE MILLON dollar shot in 2001. After a round of precise iron shots and pressure putts we end up at the Tavern with me digging into my wallet to pay him for the golf lesson I just incurred. Another reason I love the Par 3 course is because when I step up to take my first shot everything from the outside world goes away. It's like Mother Nature takes over and you can relax and enjoy a peaceful and scenic round of golf. The last reason I love the Par 3 course is because I can enjoy a round of golf without spraying my driver all over the place |
